This is BMW’s M3 DTM Concept Car, a taster of the near-500bhp racer that will compete in the 2012 DTM (German Touring Car) series. Unveiled at BMW Welt in Munich, it signals BMW's return to the DTM after a two-decade absence; between 1987 and 1992, the BMW M3 won 40 races and had over 150 podium finishes in Germany's premier tin-top series. Does this new BMW M3 DTM car bear any resemblance to a road-going M3?
The 2013 Toyota Yaris Trend has been launched with styling tweaks and the Yaris TR and SR get new Appearance Packs. Toyota are aiming the Yaris Tend at ‘younger, design-conscious consumers’, so they’ve been busy giving the Trend a tweak or three to make it more appealing to their target demographic. That means keeping the chrome bits round the nose from the previous Yaris Trend, with versions optioned in white getting matching covers in the headlamp units, chrome door sills and mirrors and blacked-out B and C Pillars for a ‘floating roof’ effect.

I’m not old enough to remember when cars came with valve radios, but I am old enough to remember when many cars didn’t even get a radio. I’m also old enough to remember when the music source of choice in a car was the 8-track tape machine. And actually, for in-car use, 8-tracks were great.
